marriage you would turn to your spouse and say, "I'd marry you all
over again." Those marriages are filled with tenderness,
romance, and a love that grows over a lifetime. When I wrote this song, I had been married for over 20 years. I've enjoyed being married so much that I'd marry my wife all over again. Our relationship has grown stronger over time. On my 25th anniversary, I would like to renew my vows and sing this song with my wife. Over many years, marriage can still be full of tenderness, romance, love, and be a dream come true that will never end. I wrote this song in 4 settings. Three times on the couch and once at Burger King. The chorus melody was created on the guitar and the verse melody was created on the piano. I wanted to write a duet that could be sung at my 25th wedding anniversary & renewing of vows. At the time I wrote the song I had been married for 20 years. I've rewritten the song several times since. |

I have a great marriage with a loving relationship which is spicy, living,
and constantly growing - a forever love. I wanted to convey those
feelings in a song. I think everyone would like a "Forever
Love" in a relationship. I heard a statistic that 70% of the
women who are married wish they had never married their spouse. That
would indicate that forever love is a fantasy for at least 70% of the
marriages. I really feel that if you work at building a forever love
you can make it! I also feel that women in relationships are moved heavily by
feelings and therefore the man can build or destroy a forever love.
If you constantly (sunrise to sunset) show her that you miss her, do the little things to tell
her that you love her, and when your with her make her feel that she is the
only one in your life, then you will grow her love into a forever love
that is living, exciting, and full of passion. Forever love is not a
thing of the past! |

This song is about a husband writing a letter to his wife. What if I
had never met my wife, would my life today be filled with the love and
happiness that I have now? Hope you enjoy. I wrote verse 2 & 3 while traveling on business. Since I was in Atlanta, I stayed at my uncle's house. I wrote the song in one setting on a piano. A year later on 1/8/03, I found the lyrics and wrote verse 1 and the chorus in one setting on the piano |

Story Behind the Song I wrote this song over several settings. The melody was created on the piano. I had my wife write down some thoughts which became the bridge and part of verse 2. I got the idea for the song sitting with my wife at a car dealership waiting for a Oil change. She was reading some women's magazines and they are full of tips about love. Hey guys, maybe we can find some tips there - just a thought. |

The inspiration for this song came while I was waltzing with my wife at
Crazy Horse in Jax, FL. I didn't want the song to end and I was
caught up in the moment and memories that the waltz was bringing me.
Several weeks before, I decided that I wanted to write a waltz song after
hearing 2 waltzes on a Tracy Bird CD. I new I wanted the words
"Waltzing with you ..." in the song. At a Dunkin Donuts
shop (on University) when I started to write the song I decided to do
something different with the rhyme and then came up with the unique rhyming
scheme. Since this song was special to me, I guess I could do
something special with the rhyming scheme.

I wanted to do something special for our 20th Valentine of our
marriage. I wanted to create a floral arrangement, buy a ring, and
write a song about our 20th Valentine. My wife and I visited
Whitehalls at the mall and picked out the ring. In the next 2 weeks
I visited 5 floral shops before I decided what kind of floral arrangement
to create. I visited 2 local flower shops and then Michael's, Garden
Ridge, and Hobby Lobby. I ended up getting all of the supplies at
Hobby Lobby. The song has 3 little stories that are real with a
Bridge that describes the things I think have kept our marriage
rich. On Valentines day I took my wife out to dinner, placed the
floral arrangement & ring on the table, pulled out my classical
guitar and sang this song. That night I was playing my original love
ballads for the catered Valentine event. |
