Driving Directions to Nantahala River
& Paddle Inn Rafting Co.

Using a GPS

The mailing address does not work with a GPS. Here are your options.

• Option #1
  Set the GPS to take you to the City center of Wesser, NC. (the town is only one block long).
  (Note: The town of  Wesser NC is only one block long)
  Locate the restaurant called "Rivers End" which is apart of NOC (Nantahala Outdoor Center).
  (Note: The restaurant overlooks the river.)
  From the restaurant, go 1.5 miles West following the river which will be on your right.
  On the left you will see "Paddle Inn Rafting" company.
• Option #2 (if Wesser NC is not in your GPS)
  To get you within 1.5 miles of Paddle Inn.
  Note: Never leave hwy 74!
  Set your GPS to: 1 Silvermine RD, Bryson City, NC
  Note:
  1) If coming from the east (Bryson City, Asheville) then go 1.5 miles after the destination on Hwy 19/74 W Paddle Inn will be on the left.
  2) If coming from the west (Andrews, Atlanta) then 1.5 miles  before the destination on Hwy 19/74 E Paddle Inn will be on the right.
• Option #3
  Set your GPS to longitude and latitude:  N35.33485, W83.61553 (be exact with the numbers!) 

Asheville, NC to Nantahala

• From Asheville (1.5hr)
  Take Hwy 40 West.
  Slight right at US-74 W (Exit 27) (signs for US-19/US-23/US-74/Clyde/Wavnesville) go 53.1 mi
  (Note: The town of  Wesser NC is only one block long)
  Locate the restaurant called "Rivers End" which is apart of NOC (Nantahala Outdoor Center).
  (Note: The restaurant overlooks the river.)
  From the restaurant, continue 1.5 miles (West following the river).
  On the left you will see "Paddle Inn Rafting" company.

Waynesville, NC to Nantahala

• From Waynesville (1hr), Silva (45 min), Cherokee (35 min) or Bryson City (25 min)
  Take US-74 West until the 4 lane highway narrows to 2 lanes.
  Continue 6.0 miles and "Paddle Inn Rafting" company is on your Left.

Cartersville, GA to Nantahala (Paddle Inn Rafting Co.)

• Directions: Cartersville GA to Nantahala (Paddle Inn Rafting Co).
  Distance - 120 miles - 2hrs & 30 min.
  Go I75 N.
  Take exit #293 (Hwy 411) then R on North 411. 
  Go 15.1 miles to Fairmount.
  R on Hwy 53.  Go 9.2 miles.
  Turn L on Hwy 136 Conn (Warning: Take the 2nd road). Go 2.6 miles.
  Stay Right to continue on Hwy 136 East.  Go 2.3 miles.
  Turn L towards Hwy 5/515N. Go 1 block.
  Turn L on Hwy 5/515 N.  Go 32.8 miles.  (Eventually turns into Hwy 76 E)
  In Blue Ridge, past mile marker 8mi, turn L on Hwy 60 N to Mineral Bluff.  Go 1.9 mi.
  Turn R on Spur 60 N (by Red Brick Church).  Go 12.8 miles.
  At dead end, turn R on Hwy 64/74 E.  Go 38.9 miles.  (Paddle Inn/Camp Inn is on this road).
  (Note: You will pass through Murphy, Andrew, Marble and Topton on your way. The roads will become small and winding in the Nantahala Gorge.)
  When the speed limit reduces to 35 mph you will see "Pizza by the River" on the left and then "Paddle Inn" on the right.
   
• Directions: Nantahala to Cartersville GA (Paddle Inn Rafting Co)
  Distance - 120 miles - 2hrs & 30 min.
  Go Hwy 64/74 W (road by Paddle Inn/Camp Inn) for 38.9 miles.
  (Note:  In Murphy, go another 6 miles past the bridge (by the McDonalds) )
  Turn L on Hwy  60 S Spur (to Atlanta). Go 12.8 miles.  Dead ends at Mineral Bluff.
  Turn L on Hwy 60 S.  Go 1.9 mi.
  Turn R on Hwy 76W (turns into 5/515 S).  Go 32.8 mi.
  (Note:  You will be turning R soon after the the Scenic overlook)
  Turn R towards Hwy 136W.  Go 1 block.
  Turn R on 136W. Go 2.3 mi
  Stay Left to continue onto 136W Conn.  Go 2.6 mi.
  Turn R on Hwy 53W towards Fairmont.  Go 9.2 mi to a Dead End.
  Turn L on Hwy 411S. Go about 15.1 mi.
  Turn L on I75 S.
  Take your Cartersville exit!

Marietta, GA to Nantahala

• Directions: Marietta GA to Nantahala (Paddle Inn Rafting Co).
  Distance - 135 miles - 2hrs & 30 min.
  Take I575 N for approx 76mi.
  In Blue Ridge, past mile marker 8mi, turn L on Hwy 60 N to Mineral Bluff.  Go 1.9 mi.
  Turn R on Spur 60 N (by Red Brick Church).  Go 12.8 miles.
  At dead end, turn R on Hwy 64/74 E.  Go 38.9 miles.  (Paddle Inn/Camp Inn is on this road).
