Web Site Likes & Dislikes

Likes
- Like to see readable content immediately within 5 seconds. Web page should load in
10 seconds unless the web page is a special hyperlink designed around photo's, etc...
No photo web page should take more than 45 seconds to load.
- Like a consistent look for web pages at a site unless the web page is special in nature.
- Ability to search for content across the site.
- Free information, free membership, free EMAIL subscription to information
- Site Counter on the main page.
- Discussion Group section if the site is informational.
- Download section if the site is technical.
- Contacts Button - sends you to a page of Emails (webmaster, sales, support, etc...),
address, etc...
- Table of Contents - if page is informational
- Picture sizes - 25 - 50k, now more than 85k
Dislikes
- Music, unless the site is personal or should have music.
- Finding a page via a search engine, but the page does not address the search item.
- Not knowing when I will leave the site if I click on a hyperlink.
- Dark sites (colors, etc...)
- Too much marketing - not enough content.
- Chat sites
- Not knowing how many pages a web page will create if printed.
- Busy sites. Too much information scattered everywhere
- Forms that have data that disappears if you have to go back to the form.
- Too much information on the first page.
- Loading plug-ins. Sites that are to fancy.
