I wrote this song in one setting within one hour during Sunday school when I was the education director at my dad's church.  Everything just fell together.  I was 21 years old.  I wrote the melody on the guitar.

My Thoughts:
I wanted to create a song that reflected my feelings of worshiping the Lord.  I also wanted the song to bring the church into worship.

I wrote this song on the piano over several settings.  I originally wrote the song in the key of F.  The last song I had written was when I was 23 ("I'll Open My Heart").  At this time I was 33 and wanted to write another song.  I had just started working as a pianist at a church in Zachary, LA.  I wrote the Chorus and Verse 1 in one setting.  About a month later I finished the song.

This was my first song.  Written on the guitar, sitting on my bed, when I was 15 years old.  Notice that every line rhymes completely from the top down.  Music came first, then the words.

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed slow worship songs.  This song is my personal worship to the Lord.

I wrote this song on the guitar:  melody first, then words.

My Thoughts:
I wanted to write a song that could be sung as a greeting song to open the service with.  I wanted it the words and music to be as simple as possible.

I wrote this song in one setting within one hour on the guitar.  I also wrote "He That Dwelleth" on that same day.  Was attending summer school in Bible college and wrote the song in the dorm.

My Thoughts:
I wanted to write a song using a scripture from the Bible (NASB).  I wrote 2 songs (also "Oh Lord Of Host") in one day.  I normally sing the 2 songs together (back to back).

Melody first, then words.  Melody was created on the guitar.

My Thoughts:
This song was born out of a desire to be true in my relationship with God - not hiding behind a spiritual mask.  So many people fade away in their relationship with God.

This song and "Let Him Have His Way" as written together.  In 2003 I was trying to record the songs and I couldn't remember the melody.  I had a very general idea.  So I created a new melody.  I remember that the original melody was slow but I decided to speed up the tempo.

My Thoughts:
In my life, I wanted to be a prisoner to the Lord's love.  I wanted to be imprisoned by my Love.
